Wednesday September 22nd: Texture into Sudoku Nine ingenious ways to create surface texture and manipulated magic. Create all nine ideas in class and combine to create an amazingly marvellously nipped, tucked, twiddled and fiddled panel with a little added extra embellishment. Kit available.
Tuesday 5th October: Free Motion Quilting and Embroidery Cover a wide range of embroidery techniques plus tackle several different ways to machine quilt in a continuous line. Ideal class to teach you how to fine tune your sewing machine. (A free motion foot is required but not a fancy sewing machine!) Kit available Monday 18th October: Patchwork for Beginners Discover the delights of Log Cabin and quick pieced triangles all in a day! Create two panels or more ideal for cushions/bags or the beginning of small quilt or wall-hanging. Learn rotary cutting and accurate piecing – no experience required – just an ability to sew vaguely straight! Kit available Wednesday 20th October: Overlocking Mayhem! Come and play with your overlocker and use this most excellent machine for a series of small projects from bag making to crazy patchwork and 3D flowers. Explore the possibilities of this versatile machine and learn one or two tricks. Kit available. Monday 22nd November: Bags Galore Easy ways to create simple bags from shopping to hand, embellished to plain, Scrip to Sling and Origami to original – indeed all sorts of bags for many different occasions. Every student will produce make three basic bag techniques plus one or two more from a range of delectable designs and patterns. A must for all bag-aholics - t’is fast, fun and Oh sew simple.
Thursday 2nd December/Friday 3rd December/Sunday 5th December: Christmas Surprise Special This very popular class will be run on three days. As ever what you are going to do is a secret - at least three things will be made and completed - it is fast fun and just ridiculously silly - ideal for a bit of pre-Christmas fun before the festivities start. £35 - full kit in coloured fabrics provided - no option on price
