Great class for all those who fancy a little fabric fun. Make two panels for use as cushions, bag panels or as quilt blocks. Ideal for those taking their first steps into the world of fabric manipulation and textured designs. Excellent for all who also need to know how to use thier sewing machine - a wealth of knowledge on how to use your sewing machine is proffered in this class. Plus nifty tricks on rotary cutting straight and bias strips are all included - great for all beginners!
It is appreciated that students prefer to complete or almost complete their class sample and each class is carefully designed so this should be possible.
All classes are suitable for every level of sewing ability.

Choose a good quality medium weight calico (US - muslin) or light coloured plain/hand-dyed/self patterned cotton fabric. If desired, pre-wash all materials but use a spray starch when pressing to restore ‘body’.
Requirements
One 1 metre/1 yard 115 cm (45") fabric
One 12" square fabric (used as backing for Bias Effect - green cushion in picture)
One 18" square wadding/batting - 2 oz low loft polyester or similar
Selection of thin braids, chenilles, wools, fine cords and/or other thick threads for embellishment.
Variety of machine threads including invisible/nylon filament plus sewing thread to match fabric

18" - 24" RULER (if available),
NOTEPAD and PENCIL
